The Sensor Network Evaluation Kit is the software-installed set of devices that can start evaluating the wireless sensor network using the TOCOS wireless engine, without a fuss of preparations.

The system wirelessly transmits the sensor information on temperature or humidity of each sensor to the computer and displays their values.

It is a kit that allows you to start evaluating the sensor network after minimum preparations.

The software of the wireless engine tuned to the super-low power consumption mode has been installed. Additional sensor tags available mean that the sensor network evaluation using more sensor tags is also ready to be made.

Taking advantage of the super-low power consumption property, the power supply can be combined with the energy harvest power-generating device instead of cells.

This allows you to verify the possibility of the sensor network system you intend to develop or demonstrate it for your company and your end users within a short period of time.

In case you need to develop the product as a result of the successful completion of the evaluation process, we offer the Sensor Network Development Upgrading Kit consisting of the devices the same as those of the evaluation and development kit.

*This product (Sensor Network Evaluation Kit) has been developed to evaluate the TOCOS wireless engine and is therefore not a final product. We offer the product to the manufacturers developing sensor network systems, system integrators, and educational or research institutes.

*The wireless module used for this product (Sensor Network Evaluation Kit) has obtained ARIB STD-T66 Plant Design Certification (Conformity Certification) accredited by the Japanese Radio Act.

Configuration of the Sensor Network Evaluation Kit

The Sensor Network Evaluation Kit is configured as illustrated above. The Sensor Network Evaluation Starter Kit is optimal for immediately starting the sensor network. With the dedicated software installed to terminals, you only need to install to your computer the software for displaying the data from sensor tags so you can start making evaluations. While the Sensor Network Evaluation Starter Kit comes with five sensor tags that operate with a coin cell, you can purchase the additional Sensor Network Evaluation Booster Kit as required and add the sensor tags. Also, the Sensor Network Evaluation Booster Kit offers the optional sensor tag that incorporates the energy harvest technology and operates without cells. If you are satisfied with the evaluation, you can start developing the final product using the circuit diagram attached and terminal software (execute form). In case software development is required, you can purchase the Sensor Network Development Upgrading Kit that provides the additional equipment and technical support convenient for development.

The Sensor Network Evaluation Starter Kit is a set for evaluating the sensor network that allows you to monitor the sensor information on your computer screen simply by connecting the coordinator to your computer with a USB cable and installing sensor tags.

The Sensor Network Evaluation Starter Kit (TWE-WSN-002) consists of one coordinator, five sensor tags equipped with the temperature and humidity sensors, USB cable for connecting to the computer, and a set of software. The coordinator and sensor tags have the software preinstalled, so you can start evaluating the sensor network simply by installing the software to your computer.

The supplied software for the computer graphically displays the temperature, humidity, supply voltage, and LQI of each sensor tags. The figure above shows an example of monitoring 30 sensor tags. (The Sensor Network Evaluation Starter Kit comes with five sensor tags. Please purchase the Sensor Network Evaluation Booster Kit if you wish to add more sensor tags.)

The Sensor Network Evaluation Starter Kit comes with the source code (Microsoft Visual Basic) of the computer software, to which you can refer for development.

You can also refer to the attached circuit diagram when commercializing the product after making evaluations, so you can bring your final product into the market as early as possible.

*This product (Sensor Network Evaluation Kit) does not include the source codes for the coordinator and sensor tags or technical support associated with software development. You are asked to purchase the Sensor Network Develop Upgrading Kit if you develop software after making evaluations.

The Booster Kit is divided into two types: the one that operates with a coin cell (CR2032) and the other than operates with the energy harvest technology.

This model is equipped with the segmented CT (current sensor) for power measurement. Pinching the CT between the power cables can measure the power consumption as well as temperature and humidity. Electricity is calculated by the software that operates on the newly-developed wireless engine, so you do not need to externally provide hardware for calculation.

The Sensor Network Development Upgrading Kit is equipped with the wireless sensor node (with the LCD panel) and the USB-UART conversion cable. These allow you to use the network discovery tool, communication quality measurement and packet sniffer convenient for software development.

The Sensor Network Development Upgrading Kit comes with a year-long technical support.
